Pop up BTC mining data center - Oil and Gas Industry

In 2021 I was assigned to build and operate a 250 kilowatt bitcoin mining facility in an oil field with no prior mining or oil and gas experience.

• Used engineering software to calculate the correct pressure regulator valving and piping for two 125kW natural gas generators on 400' of gas line.
• Contacted engineering associates in oil and gas for consultation and implementation of pressure swing dampers and filtration units.
• Supervised subcontractors and ensured proper tapping of the generator, electrical conduit wiring and power distribution wiring. On site measurements, testing and documentation.
• Set up an LTE modem and a Starlink with VPN for remote access to data center.
• Upon purchase of 300 used machines, we had a high failure rate. I documented every single unit, ran tests, diagnosed, and combined hash boards, control boards and fans to make a working 250 individually rebuilt and bench tested myself.
• I then documented the failure rate and got replacement Bitcoin miners and parts covered for my employer which saved us roughly $50,000 at the time.
• Updated BTC miners with aftermarket firmware and ran successfully.
• Created a maintenance schedule, parts/ manual database for other field personnel.
• Created BTC payout schedule to hardware wallets for oil field owners
• Continuously generated financial reports as well as profitability projections on new equipment and expansion of operations.

Helium Mining Outreach JAG Networks

• Created a network of organically gained clients in Santa Barbara and Ventura.
• Most hosting clients were gained via cold walk-ins to businesses .
• Created a new community of small business and home owners to actively engage in contributing to a decentralized network.
• Placed antennas in locations where networks were actually congested or were of poor service and provided not only revenue but direct utility to clients.
• Generated revenue for JAG and new clients with 0$ upfront cost.
• Helped people that do not know anything about crypto get involved and use their first crypto wallet leading to new educated retail crypto investors/ holders.

Non-Profit Work

• Worked for Easter Seals Foundation 2012-2013 as an ABA therapist.
• Provided ABA Therapy and additional services for non-typically developing children.
