- Along with five other news organizations, I represented WFAE for the NC Media Equity Project through Elon University NC Local News Workshop. This workshop aimed to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in news and public affairs information for the state's residents.

- I volunteered at Cochrane Collegiate Academy, where I assisted teachers in teaching their students about essential journalism.
