Hello! My name is Danya, and I am currently an undergraduate at San Francisco State University working towards a degree in Visual Communication Design. As a young designer, I aim to bring out my core values in future opportunities and designs to show who I am and how I see the world. These core values include creativity, quality, positivity, communication, and effective process.
Until high school, I always thought I would become an artist who draws, paints, and sculpts; however, upon entering college, I found a new passion and opportunity. I enhanced and combined my skills in art with my newfound passion for creativity and the process of design. As a result, this made me see Visual Communication Design as a form of art. Looking for ways to problem solve, instill empathy, and create compelling storytelling helped me gain new perspectives about the world like art did. In the future, I visualize myself as a graphic designer who focuses on the process and documentation that leads to my final quality designs. I plan to instill this quality by incorporating planning, prototyping, sketching, coloring, photographing, and critiquing in my designs.
In my free time outside of designing, I love participating in sports like swimming, drawing, spending time with loved ones, having fun, and watching videos that make me laugh to gain inspiration.
