In March 2020, I transitioned a team of four medical providers and 400+ patients to a telehealth format over 10 days. As a behavioral health office, we were desperately needed during the COVID-19 pandemic to continue to treat patients. In just over a week, we implemented a new telehealth program that included a secure interactive audio-video format, and an updated patient portal feature. This new format allowed our patients the much-needed opportunity to continue their treatment/prescriptions while allowing providers the tools to be HIPAA compliant and document thoroughly. In the years since 2020, our format has continued to improve but I'm extremely proud of the quick transition that provided mental health care to so many patients during a stressful time.
