• Enhanced mentee performance by providing personalized guidance and support to students of the Smilefast implant programme. I travel all over the midlands area supporting Implant students carrying out surgical implant placements

Established referral base for implant, restorative dentistry/periodontal and orthodontic referrals in current mixed practice setting. Receiving over 3000 implant referrals. Placing on average over 200 implants per year in a full range of clinical cases from simple single placements to full arch reconstruction. Bone augmentation form part of my surgical experience. Present in purpose-built implant/restorative treatment and educational training facility.

Current practice established with 6 general dental practitioners/two dental specialist/two hygiene therapists/one clinical dental technician/One facial aesthetician. Total of 34 staff including nurses, apprentice nurses admin and reception staff. My current practice has been committed only to both surgical and restorative aspects of dental implantology since February 2018.

The practice has recently been sold to a corporate and I continue to carry out implant treatment for two days per week.

I also travel to North Wales and Hampshire to carry out dental implant placement and restoration at other practices.

During my time as implant course tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England i was asked t become an implant examiner for the college.

Implant course tutor and mentor for Leeds cohort RCS Diploma in Implantology. Providing teaching for the students, assisting in management and operation of the Diploma, both here and in Germany.

Set up a new dental practice with a colleague offering NHS/Private and Implant therapy.

• Since continuing with my career plan to extend into general dental practice, after a period of hospital training, I had established a central lead role as an associate within this busy NHS practice
• As the principle currently practices at another location, it gave me the opportunity to develop skills, early, in practice management
• Clinical Duties: General dentistry namely prosthetic/restorative dentistry
• Began my implant training using Straumann implant system

• Developing skills in general dentistry, areas including restorative, prosthetic (fixed/removable), periodontology, paedodontics, and orthodontics

• A two-year training programme consisting of clinical/practical teaching, research/audit based projects, covering all aspects of oral-maxillofacial surgery, culminating in the acquisition of M.Med.Sci in oral surgery
• Position of responsibility: Organised SHO on call rota for oral-maxillofacial and joint organisation for on call ENT rota
• Devised cover rota for absent/sick SHO
• SHO Representative for junior staff committee 1998 – 1999
• Provided undergraduate teaching during A + C and Local’s sessions

• A 12 month post involving carrying out minor oral surgery, assisting in consultant clinics, inpatient theatre and carrying out first on call residential duties for oral maxillofacial team at the national trauma centre

• Employed as biochemist/pharmacologist conducting in vitro/in vivo research into Irritable Bowel Syndrome

• Employed as a technician supporting the degree programmes for the department by setting out equipment for experiments and washing test tubes
