Served as a Recycle Supervisor for twelve years at the Architect of the Capitol. Managed the operations of recycling ensuring employees met the standards established by agency’s recycle program. I was responsible for ensuring that employees, have the required supplies, equipment and personal protective equipment to perform duties in a safe environment. Assigned specific tasks to be completed, inspected quality of work and evaluated employees on performance to ensure compliance and efficiency. Prepared reports and documents using micro-soft office and submitted to management. I was the primary point of contact for providing guidance, solving problems and coming up with solutions to ensure continued coordination of workflow and provide the best possible service to customers (Senators, Staffers, Congressman). As a team member, I performed recycle duties as needed which included sorting, collecting and bailing recycle bins. I also trained employees on recycle program processes and operations. I approved and disapproved time and attendance using a federal government time and attendance web-based data base. I coordinated work schedules to ensure coverage to meet agency’s mission. Coordinated work to be completed with laborer supervisors by organizing the work and the staff to bridge any gaps or overlapping tasks where recycle workers and laborers need to work together to complete the job.

Cleaned college facility daily including cleaning, disinfecting and restocking bathrooms with toiletries. Cleaned and dust light fixtures and blinds. Cleaned, swept, vacuumed, stripped and waxed floors in hallways, classrooms and bathrooms using a buffer, power scrubber, brooms, mops and other supplies. Arranged and rearranged furniture for special events including graduations, sporting events, seminars and conferences. Cleaned windows and railings. Collected and removed bulk trash and disposed in dumpster. Performed snow removal from sidewalks, steps and other walk areas. Followed safety rules and regulations as directed by the College.

Responsible for receiving and shipping out merchandise daily using forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor belts. Checked in merchandise by J.C. Penny tracking database to ensure receive and ship date accuracy and recorded damaged items to ensure items are accounted for and condition of items using item bar code numbers for identification. Responsible for overseeing entire inventory and conducted extensive inventory check bi-annually. Maintained order of supplies on the loading dock. Cleaned, dusted and swept loading dock as needed. Delivered checked in merchandise to assigned departments including, houseware, clothing sections and salon. Provided customer service to sales floor delivering requested restock of items.

Purified ocean water using various techniques, resources and equipment including filters, boiling and other treatment methods to eliminate bacteria, metals and other particles. Supervised lower level troops including E4 and below ensuring troops were equipped with supplies as needed to perform purification processes. Performed laborer duties including cleaning floors using various cleaning machines. Performed Supply Clerk duties including shipping and receiving, distributed supplies to troops and conducting inventory of supplies. Stacked pallets, operated forklifts and performed inspections of items. Performed field work and actively participated in formation duties and obligations.
