• Setting up ground handling, in accordance with client preference, ensuring appropriate facilities (weight restrictions, parking, aircraft servicing, hangarage, etc), and economical and efficient ground handling
• Obtaining all overflight/landing permits, and slots, in accordance with all regulations in an expeditious and economic manner
• Co-ordinate trips with all relevant authorities, i.e. customs, immigrations, airport and civil/military authorities;
• Ensuring aircraft, crew and supernumerary's have all necessary equipment, documents, visas and any other entry requirements by concerned states/regions;
• Flight planning and filing with all applicable ATC agencies, uplink to aircraft, with PIC's concurrence (utilizing Jetplanner software)
• Collating/reviewing/delivering weather graphical/text data, NOTAMs, enroute and alternate airport information to flight crew in accordance with Company SOPs;
• Analysing operational conditions and identifying any opportunities that may constrain, impede or benefit operational capabilities inclusive of, but not limited to weather, facilities, ATC, and aircraft performance;

• Manage all aspects of the OCC and maintain a close connection to the daily operation.
• Manage dispatch activities including revising and developing dispatch procedures to ensure and enhance a safe and efficient airline operation.
• Collaborate with Manager of OCC Policies, Procedures and Curriculum concerning all training of dispatchers relative to each aircraft type.
• Maintain the safe and efficient dispatch of Company aircraft.
• Coordinate with appropriate departments to maintain operational control.
• Supervise, direct and lead OCC department managers and Dispatch personnel.
• Identify and manage potential and actual operational issues and risks and take corrective action by managing day-to-day issues.
• Maintain knowledge in the following areas:
• Company policies and procedures
• Endeavor Air FOM, GOM, CFM, DOM and other pertinent manuals
• FAA Regulations and other pertinent technical data
• Monitor airline performance daily and provide status updates to leadership. Assist in the research and evaluation of delays, cancellations or other operational issues.
• Work as a liaison between the OCC, Delta Air Lines, and Delta Connection.
• Provide assistance and managerial support to all OCC managers and staff.
• Manage OCC Duty Manager staffing, schedules and performance and provide input, strategy and guidance to their daily operation plan.

• Assist in developing OCC staffing requirements and oversee interviewing, hiring and training of new employees.

US Airways/Continental Airlines/United Airlines

• Monitoring aircraft arrivals and departures and amending turnaround schedules if there are delays
• liaising with ground crew and ensuring that tasks, such as cleaning, refuelling and loading, are completed on time
• calculating how much fuel is required for the weight of the aircraft and distance of the journey
• calculating the payload (weight of passengers, luggage, cargo and fuel) and producing a plan of where it should be positioned in the aircraft
• preparing flight paperwork for the crew, such as printing of flight plans, passenger lists and weather reports
• checking that all passengers and luggage or cargo is loaded and deciding, along with the pilot, when to close the departure gate
• ensuring that pre-flight safety and maintenance checks have been carried out
• with the captain, authorising dispatch of the aircraft and completing all reports and logs according to company regulations

• Responsible for economics, passenger service and operational control of day-to-day flight operations
• Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight and to select the most desirable and economic route of flight
• Compute the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to type of aircraft, distance of flight, maintenance limitations, weather conditions and minimum fuel requirements prescribed by Federal aviation regulations
• Prepare flight plans containing information such as maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights, weather reports, field conditions, NOTAMS and other informational components required for the safe completion of flight
• Prepare and sign the dispatch release which is the legal document providing authorization for flight to depart
• Delays, or cancels flights if unsafe conditions threaten the safety of aircraft or passengers
• Monitor weather conditions, aircraft position reports, and aeronautical navigation charts to evaluate flight progress
• Update the pilot in command of significant changes to weather or flight plan and recommend flight plan alternates, such as changing course, altitude and if required, reroute landings with emphasis on safety and economy
• Originate and disseminate flight information to others within the company including stations and reservations. This is the source of information provided to the traveling public

responsible for promoting flight safety and network efficiency while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal regulations, company policies and procedures. The Flight Dispatcher plays a key role in providing a safe travel experience for our customers.

• Review & analyzing all available meteorological conditions, Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), field conditions, and Air Traffic Control directives for the route of flight. Maintaining situational awareness of changing conditions.
• Maintain flight watch and following of flights and aircraft under their control.
• Generating the Dispatch Release for transmittal to the flight crew. Including, but not limited to:
• Providing an efficient route of flight, considering items such as turbulence, navigational limitations, Tech/Ops limitations, and adverse meteorological conditions.
• Calculating the fuel required for the safe completion of the flight, considering items such as the winds aloft, air traffic, airfield abnormalities, forecast weather conditions, and alternate considerations, if required or desired.
• Share joint Operational Control with the Pilot in Command by providing all available current information that may affect the safety of the flight to include, but not limited to:
• Providing updates to the airport, weather, and traffic conditions along the route of flight.
• Recommending changes to the routing, altitude, alternate while en route.
• Delaying and/or canceling flights if conditions exist that threaten the safety of the aircraft, crew, and our customers.
• Ensure that any flight under their control can comply with all applicable FAA regulations and company policies at all time.
• Ensure that flight data is accurate.
• Assessing operational complications and providing solutions in a timely manner for the benefit our Crews and Customers.
