In a relatively short time as a correctional probation officer, I have developed a focused and practical skill set that supports my pursuit of advanced roles in law enforcement. My experience conducting pre-sentence investigations has strengthened my ability to analyze complex cases, assess risk, and apply evidence-based judgment. Additionally, formal training in crisis intervention and de-escalation has prepared me to respond effectively to high-stress situations while prioritizing public safety and professional communication. I am seeking to expand my impact within the criminal justice system through advanced education and professional growth. As an applicant to Florida State University’s Master’s program in Criminal Justice, I aim to deepen my understanding of policy, research, and leadership within modern law enforcement.
