Education and Training

Throughout my undergraduate program, I accumulated extensive experience across various engineering disciplines including geotechnical, environmental, materials testing, water resources, and civil design engineering. I also served as both a teaching assistant and research assistant within the College of Engineering at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

My academic background culminated in a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from UAA, where I achieved a GPA of 3.75 upon graduation in May 2025. As a Pathways student with the Western Federal Lands Highway Division in Wasilla, Alaska, I began my role in the summer of 2023, advancing to a GS-09 Civil Engineer position.

Professionally, I gained hands-on experience in remote Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, working with British Petroleum (BP), Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC), and Arctic Engineering Services (AES) as the Excavation Lead. In this role, I received outstanding performance evaluations and demonstrated proficiency in operating various types of heavy equipment.

With over 25 years of distinguished service in the Army as an Engineer, my military career is highly decorated. I have extensive experience in both domestic and international projects, earning the respect of both soldiers and superiors. My managerial capabilities are evident in my history of leading teams to success in high-pressure, high-stakes environments, all while maintaining an exceptional safety record and a strong commitment to technical excellence. Key personal skills developed over the years include technical writing, organizational proficiency, effective stakeholder communication, punctuality, diligence, and self-discipline, further enhancing my abilities as a leader, attentive listener, and astute problem solver.
