i took on the role as Audio Engineer for Big Laugh Comedy and I was responsible for running house audio on the main-floor stage. Because the job is performed in the presence of a live audience, it’s important to get it right the first time. One aspect of this position I greatly enjoy is that I get to select music for lead in’s and interstitial transitions.
I was a driver for RanaTrans, and I was responsible for delivering US mail on a dedicated route from Dallas to Chicago. The route took 16 hours one way and I drove it 6 times a week. There are only a few things more challenging than rush hour traffic in South Chicago as experienced from the seat of a 60,000 lb 18 wheeler.
As the Host-Sommelier for a five star restaurant in downtown Denver i was singularly responsible for customer experience, from the moment a patron entered the door until final bottle was empty. Matching a customer with the perfect bottle of wine is something of an art that requires you to quickly form an impression of someone and marry it to your knowledge and intuition in a way that results in a delightful experience for them.
As a performing member of an upcoming indie band, I took part in an international road tour performing 3-4 times per week at small venues across America and Canada. Cities include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Toronto, New York. The experience was a relentless mental and physical challenge, fraught with setbacks, including impromptu renegotiations with venue owner's, unplanned vehicle repair, and uncooperative weather.
