I originally started at 18 in a small auto garage in So. California in 1990 owned by an Uncle. From the very first start I was introduced to the different aspects and dynamics involved in the auto service industry.
After 3 years I attended Cerritos College and completed the General Motors ASEP technician program and have been in the field ever since gaining knowledge of effective customer service and relations for 32 years.
Now at 51, I feel its time to make a change and would like to continue in the automotive industry but at a lower psychical capacity and with only a small amount of time "out of the field", I know I made the best decision ever to pursue a position as an Instructor.
At UTI, I found myself loving work again. I felt like "a duck in water" but more like a fish! All these bullet points are for the most part true but they are obviously generic and I feel insincere without a pretext.
