Work History

Field Technician V

Charter Spectrum
Akron, OH
01.2021 - Current
  • Applied company safety policies consistently when performing daily tasks.
  • Trouble shooting cable tv and internet networking by signs shown on a Veex diagnostics meter. Which allows field technicians to see radio frequencies on coax. Scans at key points would determine signal loss of receive and transmit levels or upstream downstream. If the digital converter box or cable modem are not within parameters, adjustments would need to be made. Some adjustments involve replacement of coax lines, coax connectors, splitters, digital converters, cable modem, and wifi routers. Another tool that is used in the daily work is a program developed to track signal levels for the last 30 days.
  • Enhanced customer satisfaction ratings by efficiently resolving technical, on-site and account issues.
  • Performed installation of cabling and equipment for data and video transport to customer including high speed internet and high definition streaming.
  • Selected to mentor new field technicians to enhance their training, knowledge and skill level, improving customer satisfaction and reducing average time to repair. Performed technician mentoring as a Field Tech 2, typically performed by Field Tech 4.
  • Passed fiber technician course. Allowing for installation of fiber optic cable to a customers home. From that point the cable would run into the back of the modem. A ethernet splice would be made to run into a router to central location of home so wifi signal could be carried out.
