My passion for learning about how things work started as a kid playing with electronics. I studied electronics in high school and continued with college courses in electronics and mechanical engineering. In 1984 and still searching for a career path, I joined the United States Navy to become an Aegis Weapon Systems technician. I performed periodic maintenance on computers and peripherals and troubleshot malfunctions using schematics and technical diagrams. After retiring in 2004, I became a Technical Support Engineer at Bosch Security Systems and learned to support almost anything to do with burglar or fire alarm systems. Bosch has been a continual learning experience with several types of alarm systems and software used for programming. I’ve enjoyed working alongside engineering with product development and resolving malfunctions. After 20 years at Bosch, I am seeking an opportunity to expand my knowledge and experience in a new role.
