I currently serve as the Battalion Chief for the city of Palm Beach Gardens. My ascent through the ranks has been guided by a commitment to doing the right things for the right reasons. This philosophy has enabled me to lead large groups effectively and earn the respect necessary to achieve positive outcomes. Throughout my career, I have been entrusted by state and regional officials to oversee first responders during major disasters. Notably, I have played a pivotal role in the Fire Storms of 1998, the Palm Bay fires of 2004, Hurricane Irma in 2017, the Covid Epidemic of 2021, the Surfside collapse in 2021, and Hurricane Ian in 2022. My command skills and leadership confidence have been honed by the wisdom of chief officers who have exemplified street savvy and professionalism in the fire service. Consequently, I have committed to mentoring those who elect to serve as first responders in our communities. Respectfully, DTM
