David T. Gometz

I am currently the Assistant Plant Director of Essex Meadows, and I have had an incredible career here. I worked in the kitchen over 30 years ago and returned in 2018 after completing 30-plus years in my family construction business. Within Essex Meadows, I have worked in the kitchen, housekeeping, grounds, security, and maintenance. I currently manage the Maintenance Department, Preventive Maintenance, and Security. I also handle outside Vendor Relationships, utilizing the extensive contacts I have built over my long career in construction in the local area. I have taken the lead in training new employees. I pride myself on taking ownership of outside projects as well as internal issues. Accountability comes naturally to me because of my experience and confidence. My proudest achievements are the relationships I have built within the Essex Meadows Team and with our Residents. I excel at follow-through which builds trust with the residents, and I have set the expectation for high standards and strong morale within our Team. I am passionate about Essex Meadows and feel privileged to work here with our incredible residents. I would love the opportunity to interview for the Director of Facility Services position, as it is a perfect fit for my skills, extensive experience, and personality.
