The Education internship position at the Virginia War Memorial has been extremely helpful to apply my history skills into a public position. This internship has entailed developing plans for education programs hosted at the VWM, transcribing original war letters, and outsourcing teacher contacts across the greater Richmond area. I also assist with set-ups and presentations for large events hosted at the VWM. Overall, this internship has helped me by combining my great interest of academic history with public history duties geared towards education.
