Davis Jansen

The Education internship position at the Virginia War Memorial has been extremely helpful to apply my history skills into a public position. This internship has entailed developing plans for education programs hosted at the VWM, transcribing original war letters, and outsourcing teacher contacts across the greater Richmond area. I also assist with set-ups and presentations for large events hosted at the VWM. Overall, this internship has helped me by combining my great interest of academic history with public history duties geared towards education.

Assisted customers in the Hardware & Tools sections of Lowe's. This position taught simple customer service tactics in a retail setting that helped strengthen my communication with customers and coworkers.

Customer service and food service skills in an extremely fast paced environment. Helped build a foundation for how to properly give good customer service along with multi-tasking at a high speed.
