Bedside nursing care , care of pre and postoperative patients, an admission and discharge teaching, phlebotomy, iv starts, dressing changes, caring for patients with various medical problems such as diabetes, CHF, etc. medication administration, EHR charting on meditech computer system, placing Foley catheters and care of piccs, midline’s and implanted ports as well as obtaining blood specimens from them. Care for orthopedic and spine patients, serving as a preceptor.

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.
• Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
• Instruct individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, or childbirth and develop health improvement programs.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
• Provide health care, first aid, immunizations, or assistance in convalescence or rehabilitation in locations such as schools, hospitals, or industry.
• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained.
• Observe nurses and visit patients to ensure proper nursing care.
• Conduct specified laboratory tests.
• Direct or coordinate infection control programs, advising or consulting with specified personnel about necessary precautions.
• Provide or arrange for training or instruction of auxiliary personnel or students.
• I take care of post op total joint and spine patients such as knee and hip replacements, shoulder replacements. I also take care of all spine surgeries such as lumbar laminectomies and ACDF patient's. I perform discharge teaching, correspond with physicians about the patients care, I precept knew employees, charge nurse responsibilities, computer charting, as well as postoperative dressing changes.

• Feed patients or assist patients to eat or drink.
• Gather information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities.
• Measure and record food and liquid intake or urinary and fecal output, reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
• Observe or examine patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention, such as bruises, open wounds, or blood in urine.
• Prepare or serve food trays.
• Provide physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising.
• Record height or weight of patients.
• Record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate, as directed by medical or nursing staff.
• Restock patient rooms with personal hygiene items, such as towels, washcloths, soap, or toilet paper.
• Review patients' dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure patient receives appropriate diet.
• Supply, collect, or empty bedpans.
• Transport patients to treatment units, testing units, operating rooms, or other areas, using wheelchairs, stretchers, or moveable beds.
• Turn or reposition bedridden patients.
• Undress, wash, and dress patients who are unable to do so for themselves.
• Wash, groom, shave, or drape patients to prepare them for surgery, treatment, or examination.
• Lift or assist others to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, surgical tables, or stretchers.
• Transport specimens, laboratory items, or pharmacy items, ensuring proper documentation and delivery to authorized personnel.
