Family Assessment

• Contact new referrals within 24 hours of receiving initial screening from Program Manager
• Preform Family Resilience and Opportunities for Growth Scale assessment(FROG)for expectant parents who reside in Charles and St Mary's Counties
• Provides appropriate referrals to local programs and agencies within community

Family Support

• Use strength based curriculum to provide activities to assist with develop and improve parent child interaction
• Screen primary caregivers for depression, domestic violence , and substance abuse as needed
• Use Ages and Stages Questionnaire to identify and detect possible developmental delays
• Assist families creating problem solving and crisis management skills
• Built solid and trusting rapport with children and families, fostering trust and communication to meet case needs
• Documented data and completed accurate updates to case records

• Coordinated staff flow between 5 units:

Mother/Baby,(M/B) Labor and Delivery,(L/D)

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU), Pediatrics(PEDS)

Women's Surgical Unit(WSU)

• Service recovery with patients and families
• Managing and Maintaining Compass entries with On Call and Low Census
• Serve as lead administration during off hours
• Improved customer satisfaction scores through application of superior conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

• Managed 8-10 registered nurses, 3 patient care technicians and unit secretary on busy 36 bed Mother Baby unit
• Conducted daily shift briefs to inform staff of changes in patient care assignments.
• Quickly responded to situations impacting safety and security to unit, actualizing crisis prevention interventions to control and de-escalate situations.
• Facilitated therapeutic communication, conflict resolution and crisis intervention by redirecting negative behaviors and helping patients regain or improve coping abilities.
