Additional Information

I have taught grades primary grades K-6th and I absolutely loved my students and their love of learning. I will take any and all classes and in-service meetings needed to grow as a teacher and continue my learning to meet all my students' individual needs in the 21st century. I value collaborating and working closely with all my colleagues. I have had fabulous grades and departments to work with resulting in all our students' success and a deeper love of learning. Currently, I teach Drama at El Cerrito Middle School in the Corona/Norco Unified School District. I enjoy using my musical theater background to bring the magic of the stage to my students. Also, I have a Drama and Dance Club after school for all the students at school who want to act and dance. In addition to teaching Drama, I help to organize, rehearse students and decorate for the Annual Art Expo at our school. This event showcases the students' Performing and Visual Art talents. The show is an amazing effort by my department and the students shine. I also taught English in Japan for 16 months and I am Cross-Culture Language and Academic Development (CLAD) certified teacher, and I use Specifically Designed Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE) which is a set of strategies to help my students acquire English in an environment that lowers the affect filter so students can relax and learn. Before teaching English in Japan, I worked at Tokyo Disneyland as a Face Character where I danced and sang in the parades and various shows. I also made a few commercials for Tokyo Disneyland inviting everyone to come and join the magic of Disneyland. My experience was life changing and one I will never forget.
