· Provides expert guidance to students and families on available funding options, helping them make informed decisions about their education.
· Strengthens relationships with external partners such as lenders, scholarship organizations, and community groups to maximize resources available to students – ie. VA, DESE, WIOA, etc.
· Supervises the administration of federal, state, and institutional funds according to regulations and guidelines.
· Conducts regular audits of departmental procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations governing financial aid administration.
· Processes federal financial aid verifications per Department of Education guidelines.
· Assists with the review and prepares financial aid reports for accreditation, as well as state agencies; FISAP, FA Compliance Audit, Default Management, ABHES, MDHE, IPEDs, Net Price Calculations, and Gainful Employment.
· Assists in hiring, training, counseling and termination of employees in the Financial Aid Department.
