Oversee daily operational needs to Public Safety and Engagement team to ensure the team address concerns of homeless within our community. Ensuring the team remains on task and address any unexpected issues that may arise. Ensure all homeless individuals in Riverside are regular engaged and served.

PSET is a multi-department team that consists of 24 staff members.

• Implemented proactive measures to identify public nuisance before they escalated into more serious issues.

• This team operates 7 days week.
• I have been lead Code Enforcement Officer of this team for past 2 and half years.
• I provide weekly updates to CMO of team's activities and keep them up to date with team's progress.

• I keep members of Riverside Police Department Captains, Lieutenants and Sergeants up to date on team activities.
• I have biweekly meetings with OHS, Citynet and nonprofit organizations (Path of Life, The Place, Illumination Foundation, and Helping Hearts
• I work with CMO with reviewing and approving DBI invoices.

• Perform technical office and field work associated with enforcement of municipal and other related codes dealing with zoning, land use, building, housing, dangerous buildings, inoperable vehicles, noise, litter, sanitation, weeds and other public nuisance code provisions.
• Vehicle abatements
  Received complaints of inoperable vehicles parked on public right of way for 72 hours or longer. Yellow tagged, chalked, kept detailed records for follow up and towed vehicles for violation of 72 hours.
• Inspected and coordinated with Fire Prevention, Building and Safety and RPD Crime-free multi housing program.
• Worked and coordinated inspections with UCR/RPD U.N.E.T
  RPD Roll Call Training-
  Provided multiple training sessions during different shifts to Riverside Police Dept on Code Enforcement duties and procedures.
• National Night Out meetings -
  I have attended multiple National Night Out meetings and engaged with community members representing Code Enforcement
• Code Action Team-C.A.T
  Responded to Council concerns/high profile complaints.
• Under supervision of City Attorney’s Office T.H.T.F/RPD P.A.C.T ensured Sober Living/transitional housing were complying and up Code
  Student Housing/room rentals/room and board care
  Ensuring student housing is limited to no more than 4 non-related persons living in single-family dwelling.
• Worked with U.N.E.T special evening party patrol enforcement.
  Working work closely Planning Dept. to confirm room rental permits had been obtained.
• Vacant Neglected Properties
  Inspect concerns of vacant/neglected properties to ensure property was secured, pools are maintained/secured and ensure property is up to code (property maintenance, and or any illegal additions)
• Community Livability
  Address homeless concerns on PROW, City parks, City libraries and City owned property.
  This team consists of Code/RPD POP/PW and OHS. Duties include scheduling for all departments to meet and remove homeless camps.
• Public Safety Engagement Team-PSET
  Under supervision of City Manager's Office to address homeless with comprehensive approach
  This team consists of 3 Code Enforcement Officers/4 RPD/2 RFD Captains/12 City of Riverside Outreach Workers and 5 city contractor’s companies to remove trash and debris. I have lead Code Enforcement Officer of this team for past 2 and half years. I provide weekly updates to CMO of team's activities and keep them up to date with team's progress.
• Multiple meetings with City Management, monthly schedules for teams, liaison for multiple departments. Communication daily with Riverside Police Department Captains, Lieutenants and Sergeants. Conduct biweekly meetings with Outreach Services.
• Coordinated and successfully conducted evening and early morning operations to address homeless in park’s during afterhours.
• Assisted Office of Homeless Solutions with coordinating with M.A.P’s (Massachusetts Action Plan) by engaging with more than 100 transients to obtain permanent housing with wrap-around services.
• Under CMO, approving multiple contractor's invoices.
• Coordinated first Saturation Day and worked with our County partners to address homeless population that are suffering from mental illness.
• Throughout my course of this assignment, I have developed great working relationships with multiple agencies such as California Highway Patrol, Caltrans, BNSF railroad PD, Union Pacific railroad PD, Riverside County Flood Control, Corona PD (HOPE), Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept
  (HOT), Riverside County Parks (Park Rangers), Riverside County Transportation Committee, Riverside Unified School District, Alvord School District and Riverside County Behavioral Health, Riverside County Probation Dept, and State of California Parole
• Conducted multiple ride a longs with City Executive Staff which includes City Councilmembers and City Management.
• Participated in multiple PSA with Riverside TV regarding PSET and providing information about team’s dynamics and course of duties.
• Continue to keep up to date on ALL homeless cases Citywide and assign cases to designated PSET Code Officers
• Communicate with councilmembers of cases in their ward.
• During this assignment I have made 2 PSA regarding PSET that currently air on Riverside Government channel.
• Drove innovation within department by promoting creative thinking and supporting new initiatives.
• Coordinated cross-functional teams to address complex issues, leading to more efficient problem-solving processes.
