Although I have been involved in classroom teaching most of my career, I have always enjoyed working the secretarial details that have been a part of the educational process. I have been in charge of multiple choral festivals and events that took a lot of planning and detailed paperwork in order to be successful. While teaching high school choir, I had to keep an inventory of choral music and classroom equipment that were the size of a small school district. I was also music department chair and had to keep a budget, reporting on both monies received and spent. While working for half a year as a reading interventionist at Barge-Lincoln, Elementary, I was able to program a spreadsheet in Excel to show the progress of those students improving in the twice yearly reading evaluations. For some reason, I enjoy the detail work necessary for the foundation of programs to be able to report success and move forward. I have an extensive computer background and am never afraid to ask questions and research something that I don't know. Although I am 'of a certain age', I am still active, healthy for my age, and i know I can still be a very positive addition to the work force. (Also: Seahawk fan from the beginning and for life!)
