I champion public education, the importance of family and community involvement, and have a strong desire to inspire excellent educational strategies. I believe that strong, effective leaders can inspire and make purposeful changes within the educational setting and the community.
Leaders must be organized, strong communicators, visible and accessible to the students/staff, able to create and manage school budgets, willing to grow and research best leadership practices, possess an ability to relate to and support all types of stakeholders, and be a team player. I hold these qualities and additionally have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, can manage time wisely, and possess a strong vision for excellence for staff/students/families/community. These are the qualities I strive to uphold, build on, and have adopted as my personal philosophy of a highly effective leader.
My passion has always been in the early education of children. I uphold the belief that access to best practices includes staff-peer observation, book studies, professional development that centers around hands-on learning with strong literacy, numeracy, and oral language instructional components. Early education is critical to students’ success with effects that continue throughout their lifetime.
