Dejah Starkes

As a member of the United States Air Force's Security Forces, I am responsible for protecting the Air Force's joint and coalition missions to ensure successful completion. My duties include maintaining strong mental and physical abilities to defend bases globally, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws and policies in order to enforce law and discipline, conducting investigations concerning on-base incidents and analyzing that data to draft accurate reports, ensuring all weapons on base are safe and properly maintained, participating in training and maintenance of combat arms, ensuring information security, participating in team and patrol movements which include tactical drills, battle procedures, and military operations. I accurately and effectively handle all duties both in the United States and while deployed in sensitive and/or hostile environments.

I was responsible for checking in patients, importing important documents to healthcare workers, transporting patients to designated places on hospital grounds (ED, Children's Hospital, etc.), and getting acquainted with working in a health care environment. I also improved hospital equipment maintenance and safety standards by keeping the office in good standing, as well as returning wheelchairs and other equipment to its designated location.
