Throughout my high school years, I have developed a strong sense of responsibility in the workforce. I have honed excellent communication skills and have become a remarkable people person, a trait essential in any field. My passion for helping others drives me to always position myself where I am most needed. The trades, particularly the role of a lineman, are in high demand. I chose to become a lineman because it allows me to work in a skill trade that is crucial and gives me the opportunity to give back to my community. Striving to be the best apprentice lineman and eventually earning my ticket as a Journeyman Lineman in this incredible industry is my ultimate goal!
At Live Wire I interned under a Master Electrician. There, I was responsible for assisting my boss in any way that I could and was allowed to do legally. I preformed jobs such as swapping outlets, switches, ceiling fans, light bulbs, light fixtures, running new wire on jobs and even doing some work in breaker boxes. This job also included overhead work as well, which was where I gained experience working out of a bucket truck comfortably on de-energized lines and other objects.
This fast-paced work environment was a great learning experience. Attention to detail, customer service, continuous learning and teamwork were crucial in completing customer requests. I preformed oil changes, light maintenance and filter replacements among other duties while working there. I appreciate the experience gained at Feslers while I had the opportunity to work there.
