As Chapter President of Delta Gamma, I served as the chief executive officer, providing strategic leadership, oversight, and direction for a chapter of 250 members. As a Unit Director, I led a team of cabin counselors and oversaw the well-being of a group of campers, ensuring their schedules, dietary needs, and overall care were thoughtfully managed. I facilitated regular coaching conversations with staff to support their professional growth and effectiveness in their roles. Additionally, I was Wilderness First Aid certified and served as the primary point person on overnight wilderness trips, ensuring the safety and preparedness of both campers and staff in remote settings.
As a cabin counselor I ensured the safety of the children I was directly supervising as well as serving a a one under my the director of the unit I was working with during the week. I would lead and facilitate games and activities as a way to behavior mange, and would have to change and adapt based on ages and the circumstances of the environment. As well, my role was to provide a role model for many kids who may not have that at home, and I am there to provide support when need be. And demonstrate core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring as a core reason why choose to act a certain way in certain situations.
