  • Managed a staff of 3-4 who entered all orders, distributor sales, rep commissions, invoicing, accounts receivable, quotes, and order fulfillment of steel key cabinet and key control parts. Key cabinets store, organize, and secure physical keys on new construction and remodel projects and are part of the door and hardware division.
  • Set up Bill of Materials for 90% of all items and models sold. Managed inventory through E2 Job Boss software, communicate with suppliers, LTL freight estimates, customer service (AP, invoicing, credit card payments, QuickBooks etc), SOP, some marketing (created and maintained cut sheets).
  • Interact, train and maintain relationships with Door and Hardware Industry distributors and reps. I have had the pleasure of working with buyers, locksmiths and architects from all over the country and as far away as Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
  • Coordinated office operations and ensured smooth daily workflow. Managed phone calls, email correspondence, special quotes, large orders, and international orders.
  • Determined credit and terms for all new customers the last 3 years (50+ per year) and responsible to ensure credit status for 200+ long-standing customers.
  • Engaged with potential customers and partners at trade shows to enhance brand visibility.
  • Trained new employees, reps and distributors in person or via Microsoft Teams.
  • All the odd jobs that come with being a working manager in a small company including but not limited to: updating price lists, writing instructions, troubleshooting phones, computer software, working with tech support, encouraging, supporting, and as needed, reported employee incidents. I can also change the distillate 5 gallon jug and move supplies in the office or help unload shipping containers (no forklift experience yet).

Prepared digital art files (new, old, reworks) for 3 manufacturing chains, releasing 6-700+ press ready files produced in the US and China each week.
  • Managed Quality Control Team (5 persons) who reported internal manufacturing and Creative digital file management error reporting, resolution. Managed SOP manual writing and updates.
  • Preflight work center trainer (6 people) new hire, trainer (in 3 months) supervisor, (in 6 months) then manager (6 years). Vetted digital art files from Creative to Manufacturing for file and art components, alignment, naming conventions and accuracy to manufacturing materials lists. Balanced the needs and wants of one of the larger creative studios in the U.S. with high volume production and equipment constraints. Worked multiple shifts, most weekends, to accomplish streamlining this area and workflow the first 2 years I was there.
