Summary

Police Officer with over 26 years of service enforcing rules and authority for good of all member of the community. I worked in a unique and challenging environment at Binghamton University. Binghamton University has an incredibly diverse community of high achieving students from all over the world. Binghamton University is in the top 10% for the number of international students. While there, I worked patrol for several years before being promoted to Investigator. While on patrol I worked all shifts, conducting routine patrol with the usual emergency responses, building checks, and service calls. Binghamton University regularly hosts large social events, plays, performances, and athletic camps. These may require additional security inside or outside the event, additional traffic control, or event planning. We routinely had visits from representatives, senators, the Governor, and even the President. As an Investigator I routinely dealt with people at every level of the community, from student, to dean, to the top Vice Presidents and President of the university. I attended meetings with members from across the community, from the Dean of Students Office, Residential Life, International Students Office, the University Counseling Center, and others. Topics could include but are not limited to, security, special events, education, and students of concern. I conducted investigations into all different types of crime with the requisite report writing, evidence collection, interviews and follow up with the District Attorney's Office. At this level I also had frequent and routine opportunities to meet, work, and train with officers, investigators, chiefs, and agents from every level of law enforcement. I have worked with or assisted officers from, Treasury, Secret Service, Ice, Homeland Security, Marshals, FBI, Customs and Border Patrol, New York State Police, and many others.
