Opportunity Scholar Program (OSP) – This is an organization to connects students with similar backgrounds such as first-generation college students. Latin American Student Organization (LASO)- This is an organization organized to be inclusive to all racial backgrounds and spread Latin American culture as a community. Dr. Yung-Fa Chang Grant - Awarded to first-generation students who demonstrate significant financial need through the FAFSA and who are in the pursuit of a first baccalaureate degree or graduate degree as a full-time student.  Students must have a 3.0 Institutional GPA. 

SC LIFE Scholarship - The LIFE Scholarship award amount is $5,000 per year. No application is needed as USC will determine eligibility. The LIFE Scholarship Enhancement award amount is $2,500 in addition to the base LIFE Scholarship award of $5,000, and it is based on the academic level and major.

 SC Need Based Grant - The State Need-Based Grant is only awarded to South Carolina residents and can only be used for eight academic semesters. This is based on financial need as defined by Title IV regulations.

Gamecock Guarantee Grant - The Gamecock Guarantee is a need-based financial and academic support program to expand access to the university. Our goal is to make a University of South Carolina degree more attainable for academically talented first-generation students from South Carolina families.

Federal Supplemental Grant - The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is awarded by our office to students who demonstrate exceptional financial need. 

Federal pell grant - The Federal Pell Grant is the largest federally funded grant program and serves as the foundation upon which all other undergraduate need-based aid is awarded.
