My name is Derek Barron, born in Maryland. I lived in Alaska from 5-10, then lived in Illinois, now in michigan. I started playing basketball at 10 and got pretty good, I got invited to Varsity my 8th grade year and played on varsity freshmen and sophomore year. I then got in a bad car accident, breaking my arm and wrist and having to get surgery and therapy, I got a job at walmart so I could make money to help my dad and sister. My dad then went to rehab and my sister and I get departed separate ways. I think I am a very hard worker, and strive to work towards all my goals, me being determine to play basketball and go pro, then determined to fix my injured, and determined to make money and help my sister and dad in need. I work very well with other because of my sports, having to work as a team all the time to win. Overall, I am a straight A student, a lot of my skills come from my life experiences witch is why I think I am a good job candidate.

I was primarily a drive through worker, but a lot of the time I helped make sandwiches and bag them, restock needed item in lobby. Cleaning the whole lobby, cleaning the work area, taking out the trash, cleaning the bathroom, washing dishes were interchangeable between me and the co workers, but I did all of them at some point.

As a worker I believe I work effectively in fast paced situations I learn and adapt quickly to new situations, I most likely get this skill from being in a military family, we moved a lot I have great communication skills, more verbal then written I demonstrate respect, and willing to help whoever needs help I can work flexible hours across night, weekend, and holiday shifts I manage my time effectively I couple things I do lack is planning, I am a poor planner, and have been trying to improve those skills I do get distracted from time to time, but over some years I have gotten better at this, and don't get distracted that often, it reflected my grades going from C's to A's
