I currently am a float pool RN at Promedica in the Toledo, Ohio metro area. I rotate between Toledo Hospital, Flower Hospital, and Bay Park Hospital. I primarily work on PCU units. These specialty floors include Cardiac, Ortho, Nephro, Neuro, Stroke, Bariatric and GI.

Some of my duties include:

• Administered medications via oral, IV, and intramuscular injections and monitored responses.
• Utilized critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions based on patients'' acuity levels and individual needs.
• Conducted thorough patient assessments to identify changes in condition, promptly notifying physicians and initiating appropriate interventions when necessary.
• Educated patients, families and caregivers on diagnosis and prognosis, treatment options, disease process, and management and lifestyle options.

I was an acute care RN at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. I would primarily work on the Cardiac PCU unit. I would also occasionally float to Ortho, Psych, and Med/Surge.

Some of my duties included:

• Utilized critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions based on patients'' acuity levels and individual needs.
• Audited charts and reviewed clinical documents to verify accuracy.
• Communicated with healthcare team members to plan, implement and enhance treatment strategies.
