  • Company Overview: Currently employed as an aide within an in-patient rehabilitation unit and acute rehab unit.
  • Day to day includes assisting PT's and PTA's in rehabilitation of patients that suffer from stroke, cancer, orthopedic trauma and neurological trauma.
  • I also partake in the cleanliness of the physical therapy gyms, common areas and rooms of patients within the hospital.

  • Assisted multiple physical therapists in an outpatient clinic.
  • Worked one on one with patients, guiding them through the prescribed exercise program.
  • Through guidance, exercises were demonstrated, explanation of the exercises were given, targeted muscle groups were stated and form was corrected if needed.
  • Worked closely with the Physical Therapists to help develop at home exercise programs.
  • Assisted in filling out patients' exercise flowsheet and timesheet for billing purposes.
  • Worked with patients of all kinds of backgrounds. Including: geriatric, pediatric, health care providers, athletes and everyday workers.
  • Cleanliness of the gym, patient rooms, bathroom and common areas were a top priority as an aide.
  • Also, did administrative and reception work as well.
  • Everyday included phone calls with patients to either check in, remind a patient of an appointment, or inform them of insurance benefits.
  • Along with that, when necessary I would call patients insurances to confirm benefits and call providers' offices.
