Destinee Velazquez

Hello my name is Destinee Velazquez. I'm originally from San Diego, California but moved to San Antonio around 8th grade due to me being a military brat. I'm out going, resilient, caring, funny, free-spirited, and loyal but also very self aware, strong minded and assertive when I need to be. I enjoy things like animals, music, fashion, sports, and finding ways to achieve self growth or really just continuing to elevate into the woman I see myself becoming. Family is something that is very important to me because I had to grow up to help raise 3 younger siblings but unfortunately I never really got that childhood experience. So I yearn for sisterhood as well as guidance through this thing called life with young woman who are in similar shoes as mine, to help become more knowledgeable and understood. Being the oldest I've always had to figure things out on my own and navigate through this world alone so having to ability to obtain the opportunity to be apart of something not only bigger than me but something that I feel can truly help me reach my full potential would mean everything.

Helping assist my community in every way I can by giving back. Feeding the homeless, providing extra hands at sports event concessions and assisting to help spread the word to younger kids at my local church's children's worship.
