Preformed direct client care to infants, school aged children, adults such as:
- Obtained patient vital signs and input/output measurements from inpatients
- Pulled shot records and gave vaccines accordingly
- Hearing and Vision Screens
- EKGs and other in house diagnostics
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection for Infants, Children and Adults
- Assisted Provider with bedside procedures
- Administered oral, intramuscular, topical, subcutaneous, and inhaled medications.
- Provided educational counseling and educational brochures to clients as indicated by health care needs
Triaged and Worked Up infants, school aged children and adults by:
- Obtaining and documenting Vital Signs, Height, Weight, Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Obtaining Chief Complaint, History of Present Illness, Medical History, Allergy History, Medication History and reconciliation of Current Medication Lists.
- Prepared client / exam rooms for providers visit
- Reported abnormal findings to providers.
- Being responsible for efficient clinic flow by working at speed that maximized provider productivity and minimized client wait times.
Preformed Documentation that included:
- Objective and Subjective Data in Electronic Health Record as required for each designated program.
- Objective and Subjective Data before end of clinic visit
- Chart Reviews as directed for QA/QI
- lab work in appropriate lab binders and in HMS
- Client services captured on superbill and/or HMS for each visit
- Documented DAP medication pick up in HMS
- Completed HEDIS/UDS measure tool for clients prior to each visit
- Addressed and/or completed provider driven follow up list daily
Facility Maintenance
- Assured necessary supplies were readily available at all times in assigned clinic exam rooms and in clinic procedure room.
- Cleaned exam rooms and direct patient care equipment after each visit and ensured clinic exam rooms were client ready before each visit
- Emptied trash and disposed of supply boxes and containers
- Secured full sharps containers, stored full sharp containers in designated areas, and replaced containers as needed in clinic areas
- Cleaned spills immediately when observed or discovered
- Immediately reported non-functioning or broken equipment to direct supervisor
Laboratory Duties included:
- Collecting laboratory specimens per provider’s orders including (blood, urine, sputum, stool, culture swabs)
- Labeled specimens
- Entered client data for lab order into HMS for processing
- Stored specimens according to laboratory requirements prior to shipping
- Used lab equipment and ran controls on centrifuge, autoclave, glucose machine, hemoglobin machines.
- Performed in house labs as ordered and documented in HMS and in services.
