Summary

Seasoned stylist with a vibrant career beginning at Toni&Guy many years ago, I've mastered color corrections, highlights, balayage, extensions, styling and excel in maintaining long time client relationships. Transitioned from Toni&Guy to a salon suite to running a successful home salon. I bring a blend of creative vision and trend awareness, I am eager to merge my expertise of many years of styling with any new ones I can inquire in my next chapter. Really excited to join a salon and be a part of a team of stylists, whether behind the chair or on the floor, I am excited to explore any and all possibilities. After 20 plus years of working for myself to support a family, I am eager to work for someone else, I truly look forward to being an employee.

Job overview

  • I kinda grew up in a salon as my mom is also a stylist. As an adolescent I would spend my evenings after school and summers at the salon my mom worked at. I would sweep, fold towels, separate perm rods, sterilize utensils, cut foils and wax strips for tips. I loved the salon environment.
  • I had the opportunity in 1997 at age 17 to attend Toni&Guy Academy, I went and fell in love with the industry. I graduated and became a licensed stylist in 1998,
  • I spent my first year working at my mom's salon. In 2000 I went back to T&G for an advanced fast track colorist program to join the team that opened the Frisco Stonebriar location. In 2 short years I had built a steady clientele, along with a small family of my own.
  • I left T&G salon in 2002 to work in a salon suite in Frisco independently for a little over 8 years.
  • Wanting to be closer to home and more available for my 3 kiddos I built a salon into my home in Mckinney about 14 years ago. It was a dream come true, but now my kids are adults working full time. I have cherished my lil home salon over the years, but I miss the camaraderie of a salon/workplace environment, and at the ripe age of 45, I am ready for a new start!
