• Train new nurses in proper techniques, care standards, operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Oversee the facility when filling in as a House Supervisor- ensure staff, patient, and family needs are met in a timely manner.
• Promote patient and family comfort during challenging times.

• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, nutritionists and case managers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Observe and report patient condition and progress in order to monitor effectiveness of care.
• Observe and document patient factors such as diet, physical activity level and behavior to understand conditions and effectively modify treatment plans.
• Promote patient recovery from medical or surgical procedures; thus facilitating wound care, infection prevention, and pain management.
• Reinforce education to patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis and prognosis, treatment options, disease process, and management.
• Facilitate therapeutic communication, conflict resolution and crisis intervention by redirecting negative behaviors and helping patients regain or improve coping abilities to prevent further disability.
• Apply nursing expertise to meet needs of Dementia and Alzheimer's patients.

• Asses patient needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
• Triage patients with a sense of urgency; closely monitor acute conditions.
• Provide care to patients of all age groups, ranging from infant to geriatric clients.
• Collect blood, urine, and sputum samples to complete diagnostic and routine assessment tests.
• Deliver oral, inhaled or injectable medication to mitigate or resolve patient symptoms.
• Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to carry out individualized treatment plans for diverse, acute, and chronic conditions.
