• Managed the end-to-end grant accounting process for US Brazil Connect (USBC) ensuring due diligence, accuracy, and compliance with IRS regulations, international government program sponsor regulations, and internal policies.
• Overhauled USBC's accounting system to ensure better tracking of grant spending and budgets, which allowed Program Managers to independently manage their own program budgets and relieved the Executive Director to expand programs and foundation impact.
• Submitted all financial and grant spending reports in a timely manner, and ensured accurate, timely filing of financial reporting to various government entities including the foundation's annual 990 tax return.

FOUNDATION-WIDE SUPPORT

• Implemented policy changes to comply with annual audit recommendations and ensured the foundation was compliant with current federal and international regulations.
• Collaborated with Program Managers to ensure accurate reporting of grant spending.
• Performed weekly reconciliations of all financial accounts to confirm all payments were made on time, and signed-off on accuracy of financial reporting data.

OPERATIONS & ADMINISTRATION

• Liaison with payroll vendor to ensure payroll ran smoothly, employees were paid correctly, and all payroll taxes were accurately paid and reported.
• Insured compliance with all required registrations and reporting needed to legally be able to collect donations.
