Working at Sweetwater has been my first real job and a tough one at that. My dad helped me get hired because of his long time experience working at the establishment as a server and manager and connections. He was friends with a lot of the staff and the managers so knowing that I was his son that might've changed how people treated me. so instead I opted to keep it a secret and succeed on my own merit.
People were tough on me and I learned good habits fast and discarded bad ones faster. As a result i became great at what i did and continue to go above and beyond because of the fact that these people are my dads friends rather than expecting something easy.
Growing up I loved Star Wars and that was all I could ever talk about for multiple years, reading every piece of media i could find and watching every new movie on release. Nowadays I've broadened my interests to include mainly video games from classics like Halo Combat evolved and Ace Combat to newer releases like Cyberpunk 2077 and Resident Evil Requiem. I live for everything fiction from Films, Games and TV and I love sharing those interests with people.
I've wanted to work at Echo Base for a long time. the thought of working there has basically been in my head since the store opened but around Three years ago was when I decided to ask about job opportunities while i was there with one of my friends. back then I was 16 so I put the idea on the back burner while i finished up high school and started gaining experience working. I loved visiting a lot because of the friendly and cozy environment, every few months just checking in to see what was new and chatting with the staff. Overall its always been a very whimsical place for me and now that I've grown up a lot more at age 19, I want to be a part of that.
