Dynamic Pulmonary and Critical Care fellow at Boston Medical Center Brighton, excelling in critical care management and passionate about teaching. Proven track record in patient care and clinical research, with a strong focus on Point of Care Ultrasound teaching. Committed to enhancing medical education and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
During this one-month advanced pulmonary rotation, I refined my skills in EBUS with biopsy, flexible bronchoscopy, navigational bronchoscopy with cryobiopsy, and dynamic airway maneuvers for tracheobronchomalacia.
I also performed chest tube placement and thoracentesis, while observing several central airway management techniques, including percutaneous tracheostomy, airway stenting, and central airway tumor debridement.
During this four‑week course, I developed a strong foundation in the principles of clinical and translational research. I gained a clear understanding of how to formulate meaningful clinical questions and translate them into well‑structured research hypotheses. The course emphasized the development of effective research protocols and appropriate study designs, including considerations of feasibility, ethics, data collection, and outcome measurement.
I learned how to critically evaluate existing literature, identify knowledge gaps, and design studies that address clinically relevant problems.
During this two-week inpatient rotation, I managed chronically ventilated patients and gained hands-on experience with tracheostomy care, including decannulation, downsizing, and tube changes. I also developed skills in managing chronic respiratory failure, ventilator strategies, and airway clearance techniques.
