I have worked for the State of Texas for over 35 yrs in many different job positions such as:

Human Service Technician (HST) for Child Protective Services (CPS) and received The Commissioner Award of Excellence - This reward is the highest honor goven by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Service (DFPS). I also mentor many new (HST) during my tenure.

Clerk III & Eligibility Specialist for Department of Human Services (DHS) Food Stamp Office. I certified clients Food Stamp and Medicaid and Aid for Families with Dependent Children (AFDC). I also worker in the Regional Change Center as a Support clerk during my state tenure.

  • .Always represent myself in a professional manner on and off the job.
  • Maintain a clean an safe vehicle at all times/ make sure that I had the tools, to assist the child or children with a appropriated move or music to assist during a long or short transport to and from their parent child visits.
  • Due to child safety I refrain allowing children to eat or drink in my car while I am driving due to a child chocking. I all ways get the childs caseworkers approval before feeding a child anything due to food allergies or medication reaction to any types of food or drinks.
  • I try to develop a strong bonds with each child that I transport, to creating a sense of security before and during and after a transport.
  • Maintained a safe environment for children by adhering to strict safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Handled conflicts among children diplomatically, teaching them valuable problem-solving skills while maintaining a peaceful transports with all ages of children.
  • Maintain open communication with the caseworkers / placements / monitors due to early mornings and after hours transports were cancellations may occur.
  • All ways be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the ability to function without close supervision.
  • Maintain a car registration and licensure that in required for the job.
