Daily training of dressage and hunter/jumper competition horses. Teaching horseback riding to beginner to intermediate level children and adults.
Responsible for admissions on a 12 bed unit, data entry using Point Click Care software, Processing and implementing orders, initiating care plans, assessments, med pass, communicating with interdisciplinary team, wound care and treatments etc.. Proficient at IV starts and administering IV medications.
Nurse manager for newly opened 16 bed TCU. Assessing potential admissions, implementing individualized care plans, directing and mentoring nursing staff to ensure that the patients reached their highest physical, mental and psychosocial well being prior to being discharged to the most appropriate setting for their condition. Working and communicating very closely with the entire interdisciplinary team.
Responsible for monitoring and following up with residents with acute needs and change of condition throughout 150 bed LTC and 90 bed assisted living facilities. Assisting and directing any emergency situation including hospital transfers. After hours staffing including ensuring the night shift and following day shifts were staffed in the event of call-ins. Building security after hours, mentoring, assisting and disciplining staff as necessary.
