Dog Training and Grooming Hobby

I have worked with my own dog to teach him a variety of tricks and skills that are very useful in his every day life. He has been taught to sit and wait at the door for any handler to check that the yard where he plays is safe. My dog also knows a variety of fun commands that are eye-catching and entertaining, such as lay down, roll over, speak, crawl, bow, play dead, spin, jump over an obstacle, go through a tunnel and more. On other less intellectually built dogs, such as my childhood pet dog named penny, I was able to still teach and communicate my goals and teach her to lay down, sit up, shake, and sit. I am the household member assigned with the grooming of our beloved pets, and give my current dog semiannual baths, which I have trained him to accept and enjoy. My dog was not originally gentle or well behaved during his grooming sessions, so I have gotten used to working with troublesome dogs where grooming is involved.
