- I was a Senior Inspector from 2002 to 2014. Then I switched over to a Coordinator until I retired in 2025. As an Inspector I Inspected many different products that went into different Medtronic products. The parts would come in from the suppliers and we would inspect the parts to the print and procedures. I was trained to use the correct equipment and tools to do my job. I would also train new employees through out the years.
- As a Coordinator I would receive the parts in from the receiving team. I would scan all documents the Inspection area get them ready for the Inspectors. When they finished the lots I would then close the lots and move them on to stores so the floor has access to the parts when they passed. I also worked with the return parts that were being rejected from the floor or the Inspectors. I would get the engineers involved to decide if they would be sorted or sent back to the suppliers. I worked closely with Management to keep the lines running as I was the front and Quality is # 1
- Improved quality assurance procedures to minimize errors and increase effectiveness of inspections.
- Identified potential hazards and recommended corrective actions, ensuring a safer work environment for all employees.
- Provided backup to front desk to step in to assist with various tasks whenever employee was absent or at lunch.
- Coordinated individual duties after careful evaluation of each employee's skill level and knowledge.
- Resolved issues through active listening and open-ended questioning, escalating major problems to manager.
- Worked all different shifts and holidays to keep the product available for the floor to do their job. I was on call all the time.
