Senior Information Technology (IT) Project Manager Network Support Services and Program Risk Manager

  • Managed the successful migration of the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ) sites in the National Capital Region; Aurora, CO; Great Lakes, IL; San Diego, CA; and San Antonio, TX to a centralized military health system network infrastructure as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) initiated by Congress in 2017 in support of consolidating electronic health records (EHR) across military medical treatment facilities
  • Coordinated and collaborated with all military branches, programs, and vendors at DHHQ along with the affiliated sites to migrate end user laptops, workstations, hardware and software applications, print services, network infrastructure and decommission the legacy network infrastructure
  • Coordinated with the DHA Enterprise Backup and Storage Team on an enterprise mission that included the DHHQ sites relocating data to a cloud-based service solution that resulted in a multi-million-dollar cost savings for the DHA
  • Created end user education, drafted frequent communications to end users, monitored and reported progress for approximately 7,500 end users
  • Led and recognized as the number one site, out of 76 military treatment facilities, on the DHA Enterprise 'Wall of Heroes' for a successful and timely completion of the mission
  • Established and lead the Risk and Issue Community of Practice (CoP) where members meet bi-monthly to report on existing program risks and issues, monitor any changes to the risk exposure, create mitigation plans as well as develop contingency plans to minimize impact if a risk when realized
  • Managed Risk and Issue CoP data gathering via a MS SharePoint application that enhances collaboration and automated standard reporting
  • Provided subject matter expertise in the development of the MS SharePoint application for the Risk & Issue CoP
  • Supported the implementation of multiple Windows OS upgrades on DHA government furnished equipment where the scope of the effort includes the assessment of hardware and software compatibility, replacing non-compatible hardware and upgrading non-compatible software, developing detailed schedules and progress tracking reports, along with providing end user education materials on the changes with each OS upgrade
  • Managed the design and deployment of a standalone network environment and coordinated with the GSA to build out offices to implement the control requested by the DHA Office of the General Counsel attorneys for contract selection board members to have an environment to review contracts with no access to the internet or any other outside connection
  • Consulted and provided guidance in other DHA projects efforts where my experience and expertise were useful in the initial planning phase on several efforts that involved operations and network infrastructure, video teleconferencing, and end user support services solutions
  • Engaged in supporting the resolution of service or network outages by setting up audio bridge calls and engaging the essential support team members that included military personnel, vendors, and contractors
  • Involved in the IntelliDyne mentoring program where interested IntelliDyne employees from other departments on the DHA contract are provided the opportunity to experience project management activities
