  • Spent my last few years in the 2-101CAV and did my last deployment with them. Cavalry units specialize in gathering intelligence and providing reconnaissance support to identify enemy movements, terrain, and potential threats. They operate ahead of the main forces to ensure situational awareness. Cavalry squadrons are designed for rapid movement and mobility.

  • Deployed with the 1-69th Infantry Brigade Combat Team to Djibouti, Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Responsible for the oversight of 13 soldiers, and upwards of $300 million in military equipment. Provided base security, running entry control points, vehicle and personal searches. Worked closely with K9 units.
