I've always been in love with movies since I was a kid. I've always wanted to write and direct movies as well. But due to the required tasks of the industry, I decided that it wasn't for me. Yet, I still wanted to express my love for Motion Pictures in some way..that's where reviewing them came into place.
Diving into the past feels like going to the movies, only it's real! It enhances my knowledge of previous events whether recent or ancient times and it's self educational on how I can apply to the times we are living in.
By Culture, I'd refer to it as "miscellaneous Culture" meaning everything that goes on around the world from important events to pop culture to politics to sports, all in a certain time frame, is just so fascinating to me because it resembles everything that we are living in everywhere.
Just like history, staying politically informed enhances my knowledge of the issues that impacts us. I've never been too politically informed until in recent years and by now I have a desire to write non fiction.
Like politics, I've never cared so much, but now reading is the most therapeutic and mentally healthy activity of mine as I desire to be taken into new worlds, fiction and non fiction, and building my own cognitive dissonance and reading skills.
Writing is a huge interest in multiple fields and I have had a passion to pursue in the best possible paths, particularly authoring and journaling along side previous experience in photography.
I've always had struggles with my social skills growing up. At an early age, I was diagnosed with mild autism, so my communication and/or collaboration with others may seem a little different and it has been hard to overcome these emotional and mental issues of mine as a child and as a young adult. But to this day, I have grown so much into who I am with positive change and growth, both by myself and with others. I strongly consider myself an independent individual who is content in his own company because that is where I'm most connected, happy and free.
But there's more than just independence and doing things on your own. More recently, I came to embrace the concept of community, belonging, and finding your people. That is not to say I'm there to be everybody's friend, but it is to say that if you're willing to accomplish success with others when you can't do it alone, you are unstoppable. Nowadays, I strive to properly and successfully collaborate with others as needed because team work makes a dream work, and friendships are there to support just that, both in general life and in the workplace.
I'm truly grateful how far I have come.
