I seal any through penetrations that are in walls and floors usually above ceiling gride so that weather it is rated for smoke, sound, or fire, that the system i seal the penetrates with is rated to what the wall or floor is rated at for example 1 hour, 2 hour, or 3 hour.

I would run lines that handled the materials we needed to box up and ship out, used a hand held computer to scan items in to make sure we were sending the correct materials out.

I worked on the line that had parts came to us that needed to be evaluated to see if its quality was what we needed to be sent off to our grinders and presses and if not we would mark down the part wasnt to the quality standard then send it away to be used as scrap for our furnaces.

worked on a seat assembly line where our stations had a 60 second timer to get our part installed then to be sent off to the next station. learned all stations on my line and could install all parts in under the 60 second time we had,
