Cornerbacks/Nickels/Kickoff Return/S&C Liaison

07.2024 - Current
  • Began college coaching career at Fairmont in July 2024, where I primarily coached the Corners, and ran the kickoff return unit, while also being the overseer of the S&C program. Throughout the season I would also coached the Nickels as well to increase productivity.
  • The corner and nickels accumulated 119 tackles, 27 pass break-ups, 6 interceptions returned for 56 yards, 5 tackles for loss and 3 forced fumbles recovering 1. While having 2 games with 3 or more pass breakups, and 1 with multiple forced fumbles on strip outs.
  • Jehvonn Lewis finished 5th in the conference in PBUs(6) and 3rd in INTs (3).
  • Schemed and coordinated the kickoff return unit which finished 4th in the nation and 2nd in the conference in total yards(1001). Also added a long of 92 yards with 1 TD vs Wheeling. We had two 100+, one 200+, and three 80+ yard return games on the season.
  • Jermaine Bradford had 18 returns for 476 with a 26.4 yard average per return. While Kobe Harris had 7 returns for 210 yards while averaging 30 yards per return.
  • On game days managed on the field secondary and special teams subs and adjustments, as well as signaling the secondary disguises and techniques to play on every snap.

  • Started coaching career as a DC/Secondary coach helping elevate Atherton HS (5A) and make school history. Worked to immediately enhance the playbook, changing the mindsets of the athletes, and working to change the culture. Helped Atherton HS win its first District Title and most win in school history(11-2).
  • The defense averaged 11.8 points a game which was 2nd in the state of Kentucky. Allowing 153 points (2nd in the state) in total, 8/13 games we held opponents to 6 or less points including 3 shutouts. The defense accumulated 17 total interceptions with 2 interceptions returned for touchdowns. While also forcing 7 fumbles, recovering 5 while adding 13 tackles for loss and 8 sacks as well. We blocked 4 field goals and 2 punts returning both punts for a touchdown. Starting corner tied for 3rd in 5A in interceptions(4) with both starting safeties tying for 5th and 7th in interceptions both taking at least 1 interception for a touchdown. Over the season we had 10 kids win 1st team, 2nd team, or honorable mention in all-district voting for our district with 5 of those being defensive backs. We made it to the 3rd round of playoffs for the first time in school history.
