• Maintaining a positive attitude while being patient and understanding with the children.
• Administering medication when needed according to parent instructions.
• Enforcing discipline when necessary but always doing so calmly and respectfully.
• Providing a safe environment for children to explore their curiosity and creativity.
• Completing light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up toys and books.

As a community service volunteer I gave back to those in need in many different ways. I spent countless hours supplying the less fortunate with clothes, food, and extra special things like gifts for the kids during the holidays. I also have a surplus of experience with consumers. The experience that I obtain is communication skills not only amongst the youth that I guide and help but also cooperation and synergy with my colleagues at Youth Board.

• Developed relationships with local businesses to increase volunteer recruitment efforts within the community.
• Organized community events and activities for disadvantaged youth.
• Organized donation drives collecting items such as books, toys, clothes and furniture for those in need.
• Provided assistance to clients in need of food, clothing and other resources.
• Led educational seminars on topics related to nutrition, mental health, substance abuse prevention.
