I'm passionate about learning and using what I've learned to improve systems and operations. My work in Object Oriented Programming has taught me a better way to organize solutions into 'pieces' that are easier to implement, debug and maintain. It has also taught me the importance of learning from users, documenting requirements and how the requirements have been addressed by the solution.
Perhaps most importantly, application development has taught me how to quickly narrow down a problem. This has been useful both in debugging software and in fixing malfunctioning hardware in Field Service.
Appreciation for the knowledge and wisdom of others has helped to widen my own knowledge and opened the door to learning from others and applying that knowledge in ways that improve the functionality and operation of systems.
Some systems designed and implemented by me 15 years ago are still in use today. Some of these include:
I would be proud to provide a more complete description and references for each of these and other accomplishments.
